Magazine Post- Traditional Distribution

The traditional way companies begin to flourish in the magazine world is by increasing distribution. Most companies take this path. They begin with mailing lists and packaging. they are sent to your door with a sample of the magazine and if you like it you will return the subscription form, pay the money, and you are set. Then they will move to key locations and events. They will look at what areas include there specific audience and mail to these places. After this, they will go to key events that might be able to get a company up and running. Next, you will bag your magazines with related titles. this means you will put your magazine in with another similar magazine e to be sent to certain stores and customers. Magazine Project- Distribution plan Sports Illustrated

Image
Sports Illustrated has; a magazine, which we will have; many social media accounts, which we already have; and an app on the AppStore, which is what this focuses on. They have an app that u have to subscribe to for a monthly subscription so you can view all of there content on your phone wherever you are whenever you want. It is an extremely effective way of getting what you want to distribute out in the world fast and effectively. We could also use this method to distribute our magazine. we could add many photos and articles, including adds that people want to see when they are waiting in a doctor's office, or sitting on a train. Wherever they are and at any time they will be able to access or magazine.

Magazine project- Distribution plan Elite's On-board media

This form of distribution is much more difficult to get your hands on but it is just as effective as anything else. The Media is provided through Elite Airlines. They have magazines that they hold on the planes, in media stands, and in local airport stores. this is a very effective way of spreading information that could easily help gain subscribers and spread the word. We would accomplish this by placing a subscription detailed paper in the magazines so they could reach our online subscription area, to make it simple for them to subscribe.

Magazine Project- Distribution Plan ESPN Magazines

ESPN magazines distribute through an online system. Currently, they have sold 2.13 Million copies throughout there subscription services. We could use our website to get people to find what we are promoting, so they will subscribe and receive our magazines whenever they come out. They have sold 5,600 copies from newsstands. if we were to set up a newsstand at a local convention or outside a local sports arena we would be able to pick up thousands of new buyers that would later subscribe. In total, they came out to around 2.14 million copies sold using only these two methods.

Magazine Project- Audience Engagement Post/ The Soccer Magazine

The Soccer magazine is a magazine that yet again focuses on only one sport. They don't really appeal to the older audience it is a cartoony magazine. It is filled with lots of different drawings with captions yet it still has lots of useful information. It makes learning about soccer more fun and interesting than u might find other magazines. We have not taken this approach to our magazine because our magazine is more formal with good quality photos and action shots. Our articles are strictly for learning and interviews, unlike The Soccer Magazine.
