Me and my partners have mutually agreed on doing a magazine project for our mid term grade. We are thinking about doing a sports magazine because we all play different sports. I play soccer for the school, Will Barrett plays baseball, and Sebastian Tanner plays rugby. We can all work on taking different pictures of our teams and writing articles about the subjects we are all very familiar with. The editing aspect of this project might be a little bit tougher than we anticipate because none of us have ever worked in this kind of format before. If we need more sports or information, we can write about the upcoming lacrosse team. All of us fish as well so if we need more diverse pictures we can take some pictures of us on the water. Will is a very good photographer and Sebastian and I are good writers, making us a perfect team to work on this Magazine project together.

There are many aspects of making a film project that appeal to me. Me and one of my group partners worked on a film project in middle school and we did quite a good job. Its a bit different than middle school though because it would be easier to act ourselves, but i would not consider myself a acquitted actor. I struggle to perform in front of a camera which would not be good for making a movie. Over the years i have watched lots of cool films, probably more than i have read magazines so they are more familiar to me. This is a more out of school project so meeting up with my classmates might prove to be a difficult task. I am also not very tech savvy, so the editing process will be a big challenge. I do enjoy filming with cameras which would be good trait to have when making a film.

Some of the things that interest me about doing a magazine are it will be an easy way to stay organized, work productively, and use my skills. Unlike a movie, it is easier to assign roles to equally split up the work. The magazine also appeals to me because i have grown up reading Sports Illustrated magazines, and would hope to make my own version of a sports magazine. I feel like I am a fairly strong reader and writer, so creating articles will be a smart way to use my skills. It is also a smart idea to do a magazine because my group is a busy group making it very challenging to meet up and film, where as if i do a magazine we don't have to physically meet in person. This project will be a challenge because i have never done anything quite like it before. It is a new concept for my members in my group. We will have to figure out the new technology and editing methods to make our project as professional as possible.
